About InOut
Explore how the attendance platform pairs luxe UI with enterprise-grade safeguards from the first scan through compliance reporting.
What is InOut?
InOut is a lightweight attendance platform. Teammates clock IN/OUT with premium QR posters or the on-screen clock, while admins review exceptions, export reports and maintain a pristine audit trail — all secured with passkeys.
- Fast clocking on office network; no app installs.
- Exception flow when Wi‑Fi is unreachable (GPS required near the site).
- Reports, pending approvals, posters, and an audit log for every action.
How clocking works
- Normal clock: click Clock IN or Clock OUT. The server validates network rules and updates today’s session (first IN, last OUT, total time).
- Exception flow: Exception IN/OUT requests geolocation, checks the site radius, and queues a pending scan for admin review.
- Business rules: no OUT before IN, only one IN before OUT, day closes on OUT; late or out-of-order attempts return clear guidance.
Fraud prevention
- Office network gating: restrict scans to approved IP CIDRs or force the exception flow.
- Geofenced exceptions: GPS-confirmed scans stay pending until an admin approves them.
- Rate limiting & duplicate guard keep double submits and rapid retries in check.
- Immutable scans & audit log: every action is mirrored for analytics and investigations.
- Passkeys (WebAuthn) deliver phishing-resistant, device-bound authentication.
Admin tools
- Dashboard surfaces presence, late arrivals, and missing OUT sessions in real time.
- Pending approvals show distance, IP, and timestamps for confident decisions.
- Users module manages passkeys, roles, soft deletes, and removals with guardrails.
- Reports export CSVs by date range, site, user, and missing OUT filters.
- Posters print high-quality QR codes tuned to every site and action.
Privacy & data
- Sessions store first IN, last OUT, and total minutes for the day.
- Exception scans keep IP and GPS while pending, helping admins decide.
- Audit logs preserve who did what and when for compliance-grade traceability.
